Diana Gibbs
Diana is an economist, with post-graduate qualifications in environmental studies. She has operated her own consultancy (Diana Gibbs and Partners) for the last eighteen years. She works with major resource industries, and also specialises in community strategic planning, and regional economic development planning. She has also conducted numerous analyses of the economic impact of proposals, ranging from regional investments such as a sawmill, to national projects such as an aluminium smelter, and international projects such as further developments of Australia's natural gas resources.
In 2000, she was awarded the RIRDC NSW Rural Womens' Award. She currently chairs the NSW Regional Community Consultative Council, chairs the National Timber Development Council, and is a Board member of the Forest and Wood Products Research and Development Corporation.
